Me with a nice one, caught in the Kenai River - a mile upstream from Soldotna, Alaska.
Me with my first one caught near the mouth of the Kenai River.
Here is Ken with his catch in the same place as I got mine.
Here Ken is fighting a BIG one - which later broke his line. Poor Ken!
We learned one dat too late that one needs a Salmon net for salmon, not a trout net. (Casued by rushing out of the house too fast to go fishing!)
Here Ken is holding a nice, big Red!
Cleaning the fish is half the fun! Whoever said that is dumb.
I wonder how much this would be at Kroger's?
Salmon-hugging is practiced widely up there - by me, at least, when I get one.
This one tried to take on of my fish, and I had to kill him with my poket knife.
Then this one came along and I was reduced to having to have Ken hlep me. He held the fish while I killed the bear - (with a stick).
