ON THIS PAGE I AM GOING TO POST SOME PICTURES OF THE SHIP I SERVED ABOARD AS A GUIDED MISSILEMAN FROM 1961-1964. THERE IS A LINK TO THE USS DEWEY WEB PAGE IN MY "FAVORITES" PAGE, BUT HERE I WILL POST SOME PHOTOS THAT MAY BE IMPORTED INTO THAT SITE, IF SO DESIRED. THE FIRST CAPTAIN OF THE USS DEWEY WAS COMMANDER ELMO RUSSELL ZUMWALT, JR., WHO ACHIEVED THE POSITION OF CHIEF OF NAVAL OPERATIONS DURING THE NIXON YEARS. HE RETIRED AS ADMIRAL ZUMWALT, AND RECENTLY PASSED AWAY. HIS PASSING WAS A GREAT LOSS FOR THIS WORLD.
